A prickly Proposition! This prickly little porcupine was photographed recently in a backyard in North Woodstock, NH. Thankfully the photographer got the photo and made it without a single quill to the body!!! It is actually a myth that porcupines can throw (or shoot) their quills any distance, although they do easily detatch. Don't try this at home! - Al Simensen Photo
