An effort in which the NH Conservation Officer's Relief Association, along with the
NH Fish & Game, sponsors, donors and contributors have helped make a seemingly impossible
project come to life! Special recognition to First Colebrook Bank for their generous support.

Left: Although the above photograph above is not very appealing, the project was documented and photographed from the very beginning. The above picture shows exactly how the moose were found after the battle in which their antlers became locked and ultimately took their lives. The moose were found in Springfield, NH by Ray Deragon of New London, NH in October of 2003.
Right: These are the entangled antlers of two bull moose who indeed fought to the finish. One rack has a 53" spread, while the other has an impressive 61" spread. These antlers and skulls were the center of a large scale 2 year project which is now a traveling exhibit of two life-size, full-body, museum quality taxidermy mounts depicting both moose as they likely appeared engaged in their final battle.

The finished product! A far cry from where it all began in the pictures above. A lot of hard work and determination made it possible. Left to Right are, Lisa Bell, Ray Deragon, Lt. John Wimsatt and Taxidermist Mark Dufresne. While there were dozens of volunteers that made this exhibit possible, this four person team made this extraordinary endeavor a reality. Please be sure to view the many pictures of the entire project, from beginning to completion, by clicking through the menu to the left.

We are pleased to announce that we have donated $500 to OPERATION GAME THIEF (OGT), which is a silent witness, anti-poaching program that encourages the public to report any suspicious activity or knowledge about a poaching violation. The toll-free hotline is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year to report wildlife violations. POACHING is the illegal take of game or fish, trespassing, littering, theft, or destroying property. Are you aware of a poaching situation? Have you witnessed a wildlife crime? Call Operation Game Thief at 1-800-344-4262. You can also click here to find out more: http://www.wildlife.state.nh.us/OGT/index.htm.
We have donated $1000. to the Society for the Protection of NH Forests in an effort to help conserve an easment at the Balsams Resort. The Society raised $850,000 needed for a 5,800 acre conservation easement at the Balsams Grand Resort Hotel in Dixville Notch, which blocks a right-of-way for the proposed Northern Pass hydro-electric project.
Conservation efforts such as the above projects exemplify one of the key goals of Forever Locked and support our mission statement.
